Project Objective
The objective of the EU project NSLGP (Non-Structural Landing Gear Parts) was to develop, manufacture and test non-structural landing gear parts for regional aircrafts based on advanced carbon fiber material and highly automated production technologies, while employing lightweight construction principals, dedicated certification strategies and overall cost of ownership.
In this project, Liebherr serves as topic manager in collaboration with the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and CirComp GmbH. This project’s goals were weight reduction, low cost serial production, and integrating the parts in an automated manufacturing process.
